Supplied photoJetstar will launch its first international service from the southern city of Hat Yai in Songkhla province with an inaugural flight to Singapore this evening, Nov 3. The Singapore-based budget airline will operate four return flights a week between the two destinations - on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Hat Yai airport director Kittiya Kontong said the service will add manke anothr 70,000 seats a year available for southern Thai and international visitors to fly between Singapore and Hat Yai. The airport currently handles more than 3.5 million passengers a year and is expected to expand to a capacity of 4.5 million by 2018. The Jetstar Group now operates up to 74 weekly flights to four destinations in Thailand - Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai and Hat Yai.
